Celoron Village Board To Hold Special Meeting On Monday

CELORON — The Celoron Village Board will hold a special meeting on Monday at 5:30 p.m. in the Celoron Community Center, 47 Dunham Ave., Celoron, to discuss and take possible action on the specifications for the issuance of bids for the construction of a new highway garage; a contract with Solitude; and to conduct other village business.

Historical Society

To Meet This Tuesday

The Harmony Historical Society will host the second chapter of its “Chautauqua Obscura” series presented by Sam Genco and Karen Livsey at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the North Harmony Senior Center. Genco and Livsey will talk about odd historical facts that many are unaware happened. A pot-luck dinner begins at 6 p.m. Those attending are asked to bring a dish to pass and table service. All programs are free and open to the public.

Lakewood Memorial Library To Host Author Book Signing On Tuesday

LAKEWOOD — The Lakewood Memorial Library will host a talk and book signing with author Judy Sharer on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. Sharer is a writer of historical romances. Recently, she completed her first series titled A Plains Life with her final book Love-Challenged Life, released November 2022. In this saga the Clark/Hewitt family from Pennsylvania takes a wagon train west and settles on the wind-swept plains of Kansas. The four-book series spans the tenuous years in our country from 1859 to 1867 before, during, and after the Civil War. This event is free and open to the public. The Lakewood Memorial Library is located at 12 W. Summit St., Lakewood.

LAKEWOOD ‒ The Village of Lakewood Republican Caucus will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at the Lakewood Baptist Church, 150 Erie Street, Lakewood NY. Check-in begins at 6:15pm, with the Caucus starting at 6:30pm. Village of Lakewood registered Republicans are eligible to vote. The seats up for the Village of Lakewood election in November 2023 include the Mayor and two (2) Trustee seats.
