For Mini Grant Program

The Jamestown Department of Development will be accepting applications for the city’s American Rescue Plan Housing Repair Mini Grant program from June 19-30. The purpose of the Housing Repair Mini Grant is to provide financial assistance to eligible homeowner occupants with a vast variety of home repairs. Repairs are intended to bring the home up to proper housing standards as defined by the current New York state and City of Jamestown Building Codes. Awards will assist with up to 90% of the total project costs in amounts not to exceed $2,500. Money may be used for most property repairs. Program funding is limited to $500,000. Applications can be found and submitted online at www.jamestownny.gov or by mail to Department of Development, 200 E. Third St., fourth floor, Jamestown, NY 14701.

Concert Series To Be Held Every Wednesday

The Allen Park Womens Club will begin the city’s Summer Bandshell Concert series Wednesday at the Allen Park Bandshell. Concerts will be held every Wednesday starting at 7 p.m. for nine weeks. The Jamestown Municipal Band will be playing each week except for the first concert, which showcases the Jamestown High School Band. The concession stand featuring the Allen Park Women’s Club’s famous homemade fudge, penny candies, hot dogs and freshly popped popcorn will be open during the concert.

Lawn Sales Set For Saturday

CASSADAGA — The 40th annual Cassadaga villagewide lawn sales will be held Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. In addition, the SCORE group will be selling pies at the church on Maple Avenue. All are welcome to attend.

Golden Agers To Gather June 20

LAKEWOOD — The Lakewood-Busti Golden Agers will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, at the Lakewood American Legion building. Thomas Goodwill will speak about Celoron Park on Chautauqua Lake. All local seniors are welcome to attend our meetings.

Thrift Shop Has More Clothing

On Sale

St. Luke’s Thrift Shop, 409 Pine St. between East Fourth and Fifth streets in Jamestown, has added more summer clothing on sale. Added to ladies pants, jeans, and dresses — all ladies tops including plus sizes are 50% off. More ladies jackets have been added to the $1 rack. Also, all men’s long sleeved shirts are $1. Off-street parking is available in the church lot off East Fifth Street. Sales hours are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Receiving is Tuesday from 9 a.m. to noon. The all-volunteer staff includes many from RSVP.
