10th Annual One Ball Tournament To Be Held On June 24

Registration is open for the 10th annual One Ball Tournament for Testicular Cancer to be held Saturday, June 24, at the War Veterans Recreation Club, 3431 Fluvanna Ave. Ext., Jamestown. The whiffle ball tournament for ages 21 and over begins at 9:30 a.m. Team registration is open at www.1ball4tc.com, and teams are guaranteed three games. Entry fees are $150 per team (four to six players per team). Each player receives a One Ball Tournament t-shirt, and teams can choose to enter one of three divisions, “Competitive”, “Intermediate” or “We’re Here for the Party.” The eighth annual One Ball “Stack Your Balls” Golf Scramble for Testicular Cancer will then be held at Cardinal Hills Golf Course, 78 Conewango Road, Randolph, on Saturday, Sept. 16. The golf tournament is a 10 a.m. shotgun start. Entry fees are $300 per team. Prizes are awarded for men’s, mixed, and women’s divisions. All proceeds benefit One Ball Foundation, a Jamestown based non-profit organization whose mission is to raise awareness about testicular cancer and help support those in treatment. Southwestern Central School BOE Meeting On Tuesday

Myers Memorial Library To Host Annual Book Sale On Saturday

FREWSBURG — Myers Memorial Library in Frewsburg will have its annual book sale on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the front yard of the library under a tent. The library will be closed that day for the sale. Fill a bag for $5 to support the library. Hot dogs and drinks will also be for sale. The library is accepting donations of lightly used books and DVDs. No encyclopedias, CDs, magazines or textbooks are accepted.

Pre-Licensing At Frewsburg High School June 12

FREWSBURG — A five-hour pre-licensing driving course will be offered at Frewsburg High School on Monday, June 12, from 5 to 10 p.m. The cost is $30. Pre-register by emailing rhair@frewsburgcsd.org — include a picture of the student’s permit — or call 716-569-7026 between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. When calling, make sure to have the student’s driver’s permit on hand.
