AOC To Ride Bikes On Sunday

On Sunday, the Allegheny Outdoor Club will be riding bikes on the Rail 66 Country Trail. The group will meet at Musante Street, Warren, at 1 p.m. or the Farmington Township Community Park, Route 36, in Leeper at 2 p.m. For more information call Linda Ross at 814-726-3920 or 814-688-5908.

First Lutheran Church

Announces New Summer Hours

First Lutheran Church announces its new summer worship hours beginning Sunday, which is Holy Trinity Sunday. The contemporary worship will be at 9 a.m. in the Worship Center and the traditional worship service will be at 10:30 a.m. in the church nave. The worship schedule will continue through Labor Day weekend, Sunday, Sept. 3. At the traditional service this coming Sunday, the congregation will be singing a new liturgical setting entitled “The Bread of Life”from With One Voice. The Choral Anthem for this coming Sunday is “Holy, Holy, Holy!” arranged by R. J. Hailing, directed by Brian A. Bogey, organist/choirmaster. Pastor Mark E. Swanson will preside at the Service of Holy Communion. The public is welcome to attend.

Jensen East Event To Be

Held June 7-11

The 23rd annual Jensen East event will be held in the Chautauqua County area from June 7-11. The gathering is the largest gathering of Jensen automobile owners and aficionados in the United States, held annually at various locations around the eastern U.S. Jensen Motors Limited was a British manufacturer of sports cars and commercial vehicles in West Bromwich, England. The company ceased operations in 1976. Perhaps the company’s two best known models are the Chrysler-powered Jensen Interceptor and the Jensen Healey sports car. There will be two opportunities for the public to view these hand-made Jensen cars.  On Thursday, June 8, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. they will be on display in front of the National Comedy Center on Second Street, Jamestown.  On Saturday, June 10, from noon to 2:30 pm, a Jensen car show will be held at the Bell Tower on the grounds of Chautauqua Institution. The car show is open to the public and admission is free. The public is invited to vote for their favorite Jensen in the show.

United Senior Council To

Gather June 8

MAYVILLE — The United Senior Council of Chautauqua County will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 8, at the Mayville VFW building. The Mayville Senior Citizens group will be hosting the meeting. All county senior citizens are welcome to attend.
