Warehouse Fire System Testing Is Today

CELORON — The annual water pump test will be conducted at the 101 Jackson Avenue warehouse in Celoron beginning around 8 a.m. Friday, May 26. Water on Friday in Celoron and west toward Lakewood may become discolored and take 12 to 24 hours to clear.

ILS Veterans Club To Hold Chicken BBQ

A chicken barbecue will be held Sunday, May 28, at the ILS Veterans Club, Fluvanna Avenue, next to Arby’s, beginning at noon until sold out. Dinners will include a half chicken basted with their signature barbecue sauce, apple sauce, and a roll. Sides include a choice of roasted potatoes, macaroni salad or baked beans. The cost for a full dinner is $14. Cost for chicken only is $10.

AOC To Ride Bikes On Sunday

On Sunday the Allegheny Outdoor Club will ride bikes at Oil Creek State Park. The group will meet at Musante Street in Warren at 1 p.m. or at Petroleum Center at 2:30 p.m. Earl Ross will be in charge of the event and can be reached for any questions at 814-726-3920 or 814-706-1198.

Spring Concert To Be Presented On Sunday

The Jamestown Area Community Orchestra will present their Spring concert at 4:00 pm on Sunday in the First Covenant Church. The orchestra consists of 50 area musicians, and will perform selections by Bach, Mozart, Brahms, Mendelssohn, Grainger, and others. This is a free concert, with a free-will donation gratefully accepted.

Memorial Day Parade To Be Held At 10:15

On Monday

FALCONER — The Falconer Memorial Day Parade will be held on Monday at 10:15 a.m. The parade will travel down West Main Street to North Work Street, continuing to Pine Hill Cemetery.

Sinclairville Memorial Day Service Set

SINCLAIRVILLE — The Village of Sinclairville will hold its 99th Annual Memorial Day Parade and Service on Monday May 29, at 9 a.m. Any groups or organizations interested in marching please be at the post office by 8:30 a.m. The Memorial Service will be held afterward in the Evergreen Cemetery.

2nd Annual Car Show Scheduled For June 3

The Warren Lodge of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, IOOF, is holding its second annual car show on Saturday, June 3, at Ed Shults in front of Warren Mall. The show runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Food is being offered by the Warren Lions Club, hot dogs and sausage, and by Boy Scout Troop 8, pulled pork and coleslaw sandwiches, hamburgers, and popcorn. Door prizes to be given out. There is also a Milwaukee Tool assortment giveaway and 50/50 giveaways throughout the day. All proceeds support the Lions Club, Scout Troop 8 and the Odd Fellows projects with Scouts and other youth groups.
