Author Reception For George

Clever To Be Held On

SINCLAIRVILLE — The Sinclairville Free Library will host an author reception for George Clever on Saturday at 1 p.m. to celebrate the publication of his most recent books: The Queen’s Son: A Delaware Indian Warrior’s 1750 Survival (historical fiction) and Bad Art Murders (mystery). Clever is a retired mathematics professor, military commander and NASA writer, and a traditional Native American dancer, musician, and elder of the Eastern Delaware Nations. Formerly living in Bear Lake, he now lives in North Carolina.

Blessing And Community Breakfast To Be Held On Sunday

The Southern Tier Riders Motorcycle Club is holding a motorcycle blessing and community breakfast on Sunday at the club grounds. The donation is $10 for a full breakfast. The club is located on Leach Hill Road, Kennedy. The blessing and breakfast starts at 9 a.m. For more information, call 716-640-1994.

MAYVILLE — The North Chautauqua Lake Sewer District Board of Directors will hold a special meeting on May 24 at 2 p.m. at the North Chautauqua Lake Sewer District, 50 Clark Street, Mayville. The meeting is open to the public.

Annual Spring Showcase To Be Held On June 3

Infinity’s annual Spring Showcase, presented by Merrill Lynch, will be taking place at the Jamestown High School auditorium on Saturday, June 3, at 7 p.m. The performance will feature an array of performances by students who study at Infinity Visual and Performing Arts Center. A student art gallery will also be on display at Pearl City Clay House throughout the month of June. Pre-sale event tickets are on sale now at the Infinity Center, or online at www.infinityperformingarts.org/shop for $8. Tickets will also be available on the day of the event for $10. All children under 18 will be admitted free of charge. Federation Of Rural Cemeteries Meeting Is

June 14

HANOVER — The Chautauqua County Federation of Rural Cemeteries meeting will take place at the Hanover Center Fire Hall on Wednesday, June 14. The luncheon will cost $15. Postcards are being sent out. The state Division of Cemeteries will be in attendance along with the town historian of Hanover.
