Church To Host Rummage Sale

CHERRY CREEK — Cherry Creek United Methodist Church, 6813 Main St., Cherry Creek, will hold a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, May 5, and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 6. There will also be a bake sale on Saturday. Donations are now being accepted, though no TVs or electronics. Call 716-296-5029 to schedule a drop off.

Thrift Shop To Be Open May 6

St. Luke’s Thrift Shop, 409 Pine St. between East Fourth and East Fifth streets in Jamestown, will be open Saturday, May 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This Mother’s Day event will feature new and almost new Kate Spade and other brands of purses and new gift items. All departments will be fully stocked with spring and summer items. Off-street parking is available in the church lot off East Fifth Street.

Bocce League Sign-Up Is May 8

Catholic bocce league sign-ups will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 8, in the St. John’s Church hall, 270 Newton Ave. Anyone interested in playing in a bocce league must attend the meeting. Those with questions can call Kathy at 716-499-3694 or Rich at 716-487-0071.

United Senior Council To Hold Trivia Contest

STOW — The United Senior Council is holding its 10th annual trivia contest May 11 at the North Harmony Senior Center on Stow Road in Stow. Registration will begin at 12:30 p.m. with the event beginning at 1 p.m. Entrance cost is $5 per group of one to three people. Dennis Webster from Media One will be the moderator. There will be cash prizes for first-, second- and third-place winners. Refreshments will be provided. The group’s regular meeting will be held at 11 a.m. before trivia. Host ‘Patterson

After Dark’

WESTFIELD — The Patterson Society will be hosting ‘Patterson After Dark,’ a fundraiser for Patterson Library, on Saturday, May 13, from 6-9 p.m. Tickets are $40 each and available at pattersonlib.org or in person at the library. Featuring food and drink from local wineries, breweries, restaurants and library supporters, ‘Patterson After Dark’ will also include a jazz duo who will provide music in the atrium. Teen volunteers will provide complimentary on-site child care for school-age children of ticket holders, offering snacks, activities and entertainment. Funds raised from the event will directly support library operations. Donations of food and drink or volunteers are welcome.
