Auxiliary Board To Meet Today
LAKEWOOD -- The Lakewood Rod and Gun Auxiliary Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Today in the board room. The auxiliary meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 9, at 7 p.m. The group will be having its memorial service that evening. The greeter will be Nancy Rasmussen and the helper will be Jan DeVoe. Refreshments will be provided by Coralyn Boehler and Nancy Remington.
Cassadaga Clean Up Saturday
CASSADAGA -- Clean Up Cassadaga Day is Saturday, May 6. Village residents are encouraged to bring their "junk" to the village barn on 288 Maple Ave. any time between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. This service is provided as part of the village of Cassadaga's comprehensive plan. Residents are also asked to take a walk up and down their street and pick up any trash that may have accumulated over the winter.
Regular household garbage is not accepted. Appliances, electronics, and tires will not be accepted but may be taken to the Chautauqua County Landfill for a small fee. Hazardous waste (paint, oil, batteries, etc.) will not be accepted but can be taken to Dunkirk on June 3, Mayville on July 22, or Falconer on Sept. 16, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on their Hazardous Disposal Days.
Bierman To
Perform Solo Concert On
Sunday
EAST RANDOLPH -- East Randolph Methodist Church will host Denver Bierman of Denver and the Mile High Orchestra. Bierman will perform a solo concert on Sunday at 6 p.m. at the East Randolph Methodist Church, 122 Church St., East Randolph. The concert is free but a free will offering will be taken. The public is welcome to attend.
School Board To Meet On Monday
BEMUS POINT -- The Bemus Point School Board will meet Monday in the cafeteria at Maple Grove Middle-High School, 3980 Dutch Hollow Road, Bemus Point. An executive session will be held at 5:30 p.m. with the regular meeting starting at 6 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.
County Land Bank Corp. Meets May 10
MAYVILLE -- The Chautauqua County Land Bank Corp. will hold its monthly board meeting at 9 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, at the Gerace County Office Building, 3 N. Erie St., Mayville. Possible items for discussion include business associated with the acquisition and potential sale of property. The public is welcome to attend. Historical Society To Host Historian
BEMUS POINT -- The Bemus Point Historical Society Guest Speaker Series continues on Wednesday, May 10, as local historian Fletcher Ward is welcomed to present the stories of three historic local hotels, ther Sherwin House, the Lake Shore Hotel and the Whiteside Hotel. The presentation begins at 7 p.m. in the Bemus Point Village Hall on Alburtus Avenue in Bemus Point. The society's museum will be open to tour at 6:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
