Author Visits To Library Continue Thursday

BUSTI — Author visits to the Hazeltine Public Library continue on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. Outdoor enthusiast Steve Sorensen will be on hand to talk about his love of the outdoors and his passion for hunting. Talks are held in the library at 891 Busti Sugar Grove Road and are free and open to the public. The May 4 event features journaling with Sally Ferguson; materials will be provided for this so reservations are requested by calling the library at 716-487-1281.

Fenton To Host Dutch Research Workshop

On Saturday, the Fenton History Center will present a workshop on Dutch research. Andrew Kolstee will be the speaker. The program will be held at the Hall House Research Library at 73 Forest Ave., and begins at 10:30 a.m. The cost is $20 for non-members and $10 for Fenton members. Outdoor Club To Hike On Sunday

The Allegheny Outdoor Club will hike the Anders Run Trail on Dunns Eddy Road in Irvine, Pa., on Sunday, April 30. The group will meet at Musante Street at 1:30 p.m. or at the trailhead on Dunns Eddy Road at 1:45 p.m. The hike will be about 4 miles. The group will ride bikes on the TAMED trail in Kane on Sunday, May 7, also meeting at 1:30 p.m. at Musante Street or at the trailhead at Route 6 and Route 321 across from Country Fair in Kane.

Meet At Museum

SINCLAIRVILLE — The Valley Historical Society will meet at the museum at Main and Lester streets in Sinclairville at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2. The featured speaker is Todd Langworthy, Pomfret historian, who will speak on a historical topic that he has never spoken on before. Spring Quilt Show Set

In Warren

WARREN, Pa. — The “Quilter’s Night Out” spring quilt show will be held at the Allegheny Community Center, 42 Clark St., Warren, on Saturday, May 6, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, May 7, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $5 while students are free. The show will include special exhibits, vendors, three raffles and over 400 quilts on site.
