Carroll Historical Society Meets Today

FREWSBURG — The Carroll Historical Society will meet at 6:30 p.m. today at their facility located behind the Town Hall in Frewsburg. Discussion will be on the projects that need to be done for the open house. Members are asked to attend and the public is welcome.

Citizens To

Gather

BEMUS POINT — The Ellery Senior Citizens will meet at noon Friday, April 14, at St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church in Bemus Point. Members should bring a dish to pass and their own table service. Dues will be collected at the meeting. New members are welcome to attend.

Blood Drive To Be Held At

Panama Central School April 14

PANAMA — An American Red Cross blood drive will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. April 14 at Panama Central School, 41 School St. All blood types are needed to ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age in most states (16 with parental consent where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. Drive-Through Chicken BBQ April 22

FREWSBURG — The Frewsburg Lions and Leo Clubs will host a drive-through chicken barbecue on April 22. Meals are provided by 3Cs Catering and include a half-chicken, baked beans, macaroni salad, roll and cookie or brownie. Meals may be picked up from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Zion Lutheran Church parking lot, 45 Falconer St., Frewsburg. cost of the dinner is $16. All proceeds will benefit local needs. Pre-sale tickets are preferred by calling 716-969-6488 by April 14. A minimum number of tickets will be available the day of the dinner.

Support Group Meeting First And Third Tuesdays Each Month

The Loved Ones Of Prisioners Support Group meets at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 10 a.m. Those with a loved one in jail or prison can meet with peers dealing with the same issues for support, fellowship and information. Call the church if you have any questions at 716 483-6405. Meetings are held in the library in the church basement.
