Mobile Pantry Truck To Be

In Ashville

ASHVILLE — The Feed More of Western New York mobile pantry truck from Falconer will be at the Ashville United Methodist Church today. Open hours are 10 a.m. to noon and 3-5 p.m. The truck brings fresh produce and some staple items. To receive free food, only proof of address from the following ZIP codes is required: Ashville 14710, Bemus Point 14712, Celoron 14720, Lakewood 14750, Niobe 14758, Panama 14767, Stow 14785 and anyone who lives in the town of Busti. Thrift Shop Still Offering Winter Clothing

St. Luke’s Thrift Shop, 409 Pine St. in Jamestown, is having a $2 bag sale of all remaining winter clothing. There is still a nice selection in all sizes. Shop Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. to noon. The shop will be closed next week and will reopen Wednesday, April 12, with spring clothing. Off-street parking is available in the church lot off East Fifth Street.

Council To

Sponsor Driver Safety Class

The United Senior Council of Chautauqua County will be sponsoring a driver safety class on Friday, April 28, at the Chautauqua Center on the third floor. The class will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and spaces will fill up fast. The cost will be $35.

Village Board To Hold Budget Workshop

FALCONER — The Falconer Village Board will hold a budget workshop at 6 p.m. Monday, April 3, at the Community Building board room, 101 W. Main St., Falconer. The public is welcome to attend.

VVA Group Meets Every Month

FREWSBURG — The David L. Woodburn Chapter 978, Vietnam Veterans of America, meets on the second Tuesday of every month at the Frewsburg American Legion, 9 Meadow Lane, Frewsburg, at 6:30 p.m. The VVA is a Congressionally Chartered Veterans organization dedicated to Vietnam era veterans and their families. The local chapter was formed in 2006 to give Vietnam veterans an opportunity to meet and discuss problems or concerns they have and to listen to special speakers on items of concern for veterans. Pre-Licensing Driving Course Offered At FCS

FREWSBURG — A five-hour pre-licensing driving course will be offered at Frewsburg High School on Monday, April 17, from 5  to 10 p.m. The cost is $30. Pre-register by emailing rhair@frewsburgcsd.org ­ include a picture of the student’s learner’s permit — or by calling 716-569-7026 between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. When calling, make sure to have a learner’s permit on hand.
