School Board To Hold Budget Workshop

To Hike State

Game Lands

Members of the Allegheny Outdoor Club will hike State Game Lands 86 on Sunday. The hike will be out and back for about 5 miles or less. Members are asked to meet at Musante at 1:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. at the State Game Lands 86 parking lot on Rocky Ridge Road near intersection with Davey Hill Road. Ellington Baptist Church To Host The Needhams In Concert

ELLINGTON — Ellington Baptist Church will host The Needhams in concert at 7 p.m. today. There will be two door prizes given away. The church is located at 530 Route 62, Ellington.

Ladies Auxiliary To Host Dinner

AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary 726 will be hosting a dinner on Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. or until sold out at the ILS Veterans Club, 364 Fluvanna Ave., Jamestown. Proceeds will go to support Paws With A Cause, an organization which both trains and provides service dogs at no cost to disabled veterans. The ladies will be serving a choice of three dinners: corned beef and cabbage, liver and onions, and eggplant parmesan, for vegetarian diners. The dinners are open to members and nonmembers. All dinners include dessert. The cost of the dinner is $12 for adults and $5 for children ages 10 and under. The dinners may be eaten on site or take-outs are available. The club will have the bar area open at noon.

TEA Party

Patriots Gather On Tuesday

County Executive PJ Wendel will be the featured speaker at the general meeting of the Sourtern Tier TEA Party Patriots on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at 1309 Norby Road. Action points will be presented, as well as updates on local, state and national matters relating to health care and energy.
