Count Parks Commission To Hold Meeting

The Chautauqua County Parks Commission will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday at 4 p.m.. at the Chautauqua County Airport in Jamestown in the large conference room. The public is invited to attend.

Myers Memorial Library To Host PJ Story Time

FREWSBURG — The Myers Memorial Library will be holding its monthly PJ Story Time on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. The theme is friendship. Story time is perfect for preschool and elementary school age children. Pajamas and slippers are optional. The Myers Memorial Library holds its regular Story Time every Thursday at 10 a.m. for babies, toddlers and preschoolers.

Kennedy Free Library To Host Story Fest

KENNEDY — The Kennedy Free Library will be hosting its quarterly Story Fest on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. Children up to 12 years old are welcome to attend. There will be stories, games, crafts, and refreshments. Call 716-267-4265 for more details.

Outdoor Club To Hike Along Conewango Creek

Members of the Allegheny Outdoor Club will hike along the Conewango Creek in Russell on Sunday, Feb. 26. The group will meet at 2 p.m. at the Pine Grove Township parking area at the base of Cider Mill Hill in Russell. This will be an out and back hike of about 4 miles. Village Board To Hold Meeting

FALCONER — The Falconer Village Board will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, in the Community Building board room, located at 101 W. Main St., Falconer, for the purpose of discussing the purchase contract offer for 29-37 W. Main St.

Frewsburg Library To Host Tiny Art Show

FREWSBURG — Myers Memorial Library, 6 Falconer St., Frewsburg, will host a Tiny Art Show with an opening reception from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, March 4. All artists, their families, friends and community are invited to attend. Light refreshments will be available. The art will be on display from March 4-31. The Tiny Art was created by patrons at Myers Memorial Library. Both children and adults have submitted work for the show. Tiny canvases were provided by the library in early February, and artists had until the end of the month to complete their tiny masterpieces.

Auxiliary Unit To Meet March 14

Cassadaga American Legion Auxiliary Unit 1280 members are looking into making more tote bags for a foster children project, and a possible class to learn CPR and how to use a defibrillator. Unit members continues to send coupons to the county chairperson to help with the “Troopons” project. It was noted that Unit 1280 and community members have knitted lap blankets that have been given local veterans and seniors. There was discussion on having a celebration to honor the 104th American Legion birthday on March 15, more details to follow, and plans are in the works for the unit’s annual rummage sale in May. The next unit meeting will be Tuesday, March 14, at 6:30 p.m. at the legion post; all members are encouraged to attend.
