Board Of Trustees To Meet
The library’s next Board of Trustees meeting will be held on Thursday at 5:15 p.m. in the library’s Public Computer Center. Board meetings are open to the public. To attend virtually, email reference@prendergastlibrary.org for access.
Fire Department To Host Chicken BBQ
RUSSELL, Pa. — The Lander Volunteer Fire Department will host a drive-through chicken barbecue Sunday, Feb. 19, beginning at noon. The cost is $12 for a full dinner, $8 for a child dinner and $8 for a half-chicken. The chicken will be cooked over charcoal fire with the department’s signature basting sauce. Sides will include potato salad, applesauce, roll and dessert.
CHPC Gala Planned For Febrary 18
MAYVILLE — Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care announced its annual gala taking place Saturday, Feb. 18, at the Chautauqua Suites in Mayville. Doors will open at 6 p.m. This year’s theme is the “Wild 80s.” All proceeds from the gala will support Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care and The Star Hospice House, helping to provide end-of-life comfort care and support to those in need. Computer Classes, And Open Help Hours Available
WESTFIELD — Tech company owner Kate Wescott will be running computer classes at 11 a.m. Saturday on PC maintenance and Feb. 25 at 11 a.m. on programming. Participants are also welcome to ask any questions related to computers that they might have. Classes are limited to eight participants. Call the library at 716-326-2154 to sign up.
Patterson Library To Host Sun Dance Kids
WESTFIELD — The Patterson Library will host the Sun Dance Kids Farm’s hedgehogs at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21, During the event books by author Jan Brett will be read and participants will be invited to pet a real-life hedgehog. The program will be focused on children between the ages of 3 and 6 but will be open to all audiences.
Randolph School Board To Meet March 1

Community Music Project Looking For Singers
The Community Music Project is looking for singers to participate in the CMP Chorale, a community choir made up of singers from throughout Chautauqua and Warren counties. There is no audition process and the cost is free to all who love to sing. Rehearsals begin March 6 at First Presbyterian Church in Jamestown from 7 to 9 p.m. with a concert to be held the weekend of May 6.
