Little League Registration Is This Week

FALCONER — Registration for Falconer Little League will be held Wednesday from 6:30-8 p.m. at the H. C. Fenner cafeteria. Youngsters are eligible to participate if they reside within the Falconer Central School District or attend Falconer schools and their date of birth falls between Sept. 1, 2010, and Aug. 31, 2018. The registration fee is $45 for ages 5 to 7 and $60 for ages 8 to 12. Families with more than one child participating will pay the fee for the oldest child and $30 for each additional child. A scholarship program for registration fee assistance is available on request. Contact Ray Lindquist at 716-450-2158 with any other questions.

Offering Bridal Gowns

St. Luke’s Thrift Shop, 409 Pine Street between East Fourth and East Fifth streets in Jamestown, has a special sale on new bridal gowns this week in sizes small, 10, 12 and 14 and a flower girl dress size 2T. Also featured are men’s plus-sized clothing up to 4X and men’s medium sport/dress shirts for $1. The shop is open every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Beekeepers Association To Meet Thursday

The Chautauqua County Beekeepers Association will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at Fluvanna Community Church, 3363 Fluvanna Ave. in Jamestown. The meeting will feature roundtable discussions of critical seasonal apiary management duties such as assessing winter stores, purchasing bees and winter feeding. Marco Polo Club Holding Spaghetti Dinner On

Saturday

The Marco Polo Club will be holding an in-club, sit-down spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday. Dinners are $12 for adults and $7 for children. Salad inclusion based on availability. Take-out dinners will be available. Drive through orders will not be available.

S.A.R. Group To Meet On

Saturday

The Chautauqua Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution will meet on Saturday, Feb. 11, at 11:30 a.m. at Sister’s Restaurant on Falconer-Kimball Stand Road. Members will continue working on the placement of plaques in county cemeteries where veterans of the War for Independence are laid to rest. The S.A.R. is a group of men that trace their ancestry to a veteran of the Revolutionary War. All persons interested in American history are welcome to attend as well as spouses. Falconer Village Board Gathers Monday

FALCONER — The Falconer Village Board will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, in the fire exempts hall, 3 Coleson Dr., Falconer. A work session will also be held prior to the regular meeting at 5:30 p.m.
