Power Restored After Brief

Citywide Outage

The BPU, in a statement, said, “In working through troubleshooting the cause of the system trip last week, a new issue was experienced at the Dow Street Substation that caused a brief, similar outage. Power should be restored fully. Water customers may expect discolored water for 12-24 hours due to electricity being cut to the water pumps.” Tripped circuits at the Dow Street Substation was blamed for the citywide power outage last week.
