Mobile Food Pantry To Stop At Ashville Church

ASHVILLE — The Feed More of Western New York Mobile Pantry Truck from Falconer will be at the Ashville United Methodist Church today from 10 a.m. to noon and 3 to 5 p.m. The truck brings fresh produce and some staple items. To receive free food, only proof of address from the following ZIP codes is required: Ashville 14710, Bemus Point 14712, Celoron 14720, Lakewood 14750, Niobe 14758, Panama 14767, Stow 14785 and anyone who lives in the town of Busti. Wear a face mask while inside the building. The food will be pre-boxed. A volunteer will sign recipients in and take their box to their car. For more information, call Martha at 716-763-9252.

Friday Book Signing To Benefit Library

RUSSELL, Pa. — A book signing event for ‘Sugar Grove Profiles, Volume II,’ six more interviews with the personalities of Sugar Grove by Eric Smith, will be held from 7-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, at the Sugar Grove Fire Hall. All proceeds will go to the Sugar Grove Free Library.

CMP To Present Holiday Concerts

Community Music Project will present ‘Songs in Celebration,’ a concert of holiday-based choral works featuring the Chautauqua Chamber Singers and the Hiller String Quarter at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at First Lutheran Church in Warren, Pa., and at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, at First Presbyterian Church in Jamestown. All CMP concerts are free to attend with a goodwill offering taken. 

Five-Hour Driving Course Set For Dec. 12

FREWSBURG — A five-hour pre-licensing driving course will be offered at Frewsburg High School on Monday, Dec. 12, from 5-10 p.m. The cost is $30. Preregister by sending an email to rhair@frewsburgcsd.org with a picture of a permit attached, or by calling 716-569-7026 between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

County Planning Board To Meet Tuesday, Dec. 6

DUNKIRK — The Chautauqua County Planning Board’s monthly meeting will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, at the Fredonia Technology Incubator, 214 Central Ave., Dunkirk. Fenton History Center To Host Sensory Event

On Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. the Fenton History Center will be hosting a sensory sensitive Santa event. The center will welcome on the Autism spectrum and those with special needs to visit with Santa in a quiet, softly lit room.
