Blood Drive Scheduled At UPMC

Community Blood Bank will be hosting a blood drive at UPMC Chautauqua on Friday, Nov. 25 from noon to 5 p.m.

The blood inventory remains severely low and all blood types are needed. There is no better time to donate blood than now!

Community Blood Bank of NWPA & WNY is the exclusive blood supplier to 19 hospitals and 7 Stat MedEvac bases throughout the region. Over the past several months, the number of donors showing up each day has reduced, creating a struggle to meet the needs of local hospitals.

Donating blood is a free, impactful way to give back to your community in less than one hour! Community Blood Bank wants to say to their donors, thanks-for-giving! This week only, donors will receive points for a $10 gift card that is redeemable through the online donor point store.

Blood donations are needed heading into the holiday season, and we ask that all healthy and eligible donors roll up their sleeves and give blood as soon as possible. UPMC Chautauqua is located at 207 Foote Ave Jamestown.

Call (814) 456-4206 to schedule an appointment to donate. Appointments are encouraged to reduce your wait time but are not required. Walk-ins will be taken as space allows.
