Be Available

The Herman Kent Post 777 Legion will be giving out walkers and crutches to any veterans group, church group or health care unit in Chautauqua County for free by calling 716-483-0777. The organization has 60 crutches and 35 walkers available. Pick up will be Sundays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

CASSADAGA — The Cassadaga American Legion Auxiliary Unit 1280 will hold its regular monthly meeting Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the legion hall, 228 Maple Ave., Cassadaga. Dues for 2023 are now being accepted. All members are encouraged to attend.

Sinclairville Free Library To Host ‘Meet The

Teacher’

Program

SINCLAIRVILLE — The Sinclairville Free Library invites the public to visit the library on Thursday, Nov. 10, at 6:30 p.m. to meet and learn more about Cheryl Burns, Cassadaga Valley Central School agriculture and occupational education teacher. The library’s “Meet the Teacher” program is an opportunity for people in the community to learn more about educators and the work they are doing in local schools. The event is an opportunity to learn about the things Burns’ students are learning and doing and get to know about her accomplishments outside of the classroom, like participating in triathlons and wildlife rehabilitation. The library will be closed on Friday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veteran’s Day.

Free Veterans Breakfast To Be Held Fri. Nov. 11

For more than 100 years the Jamestown Elks have provided a free veterans breakfast. The 2022 breakfast will be served from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at the lodge’s 339 E. Fourth St., Jamestown, location. The Elks are a benevolent organization that serve communities through benevolent programs.

SOTAR Meeting On Sat. Nov. 12

The Sons of the American Revolution, Chautauqua Chapter will hold its monthly meeting on Saturday, Nov. 12, at 12:30 p.m. The meeting will be at the Stockton Hotel and members will order lunch from the menu. The S.A.R. is an organization of men that can trace their ancestry to a patriot of the war for independence. Anyone interested in American history is welcome to attend as well as spouses. Annual Turkey Party To Be Held On Fri. Nov. 18

SINCLAIRVILLE — The Sinclairville Volunteer Fire Company will be hosting its annual turkey party on Friday, Nov. 18. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Hot dogs, beverages, chips will be provided. A variety of meat packages as well as turkeys to be given away. Parking is available in the fire company parking lot, Main Street, and on Lester Street.
