St. Luke’s Thrift Shop Hours Announced

St. Luke’s Thrift Shop, 409 Pine St., between East Fourth and East Fifth streets, Jamestown, will be open Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 8, Nov. 5, and Dec. 3. Regular sales hours are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Off-street parking is available in the church lot off East Fifth Street. All departments have a large selection of winter clothing including sweaters, vests and other warm clothing. Proceeds benefit the local community. The Harmony Senior Citizens To Meet Thursday

PANAMA — The Harmony Senior Citizens will meet Thursday at noon at the Panama United Methodist Church for a tureen dinner. Those attending are asked to bring a dish to pass and table service. After the meeting, a talent show is being planned. All seniors in the area are welcome and encouraged to attend.

The CWC To Hold Guided Fall Foliage Walk

CHAUTAUQUA — The Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy will be holding a leisurely, guided fall foliage walk along the Steve Hirschberg Nature Trail at the Salomon Family Nature Preserve on Saturday, Oct. 15, starting at 2:30 p.m. The preserve is located on Morris Road in Chautauqua and was expanded in 2021 to 58 acres after a land donation from Rada Salomon. John Jablonski, Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy executive director, will lead the walk and discuss the importance of conserving forests, such as those found at the Salomon site, throughout the watersheds of the Chautauqua region in order to maintain healthy stream and lake water quality conditions. Attendees should dress for the weather and wear hiking boots or waterproof shoes appropriate for possible wet trail conditions. Directions to and more information on the preserve can be found on the conservancy’s website at chautauquawatershed.org. The walk is free for conservancy members, with a suggested donation of $5 per person or $10 per family for non-members.
