Randolph School Board To Meet October 5
RANDOLPH — The Randolph Central School Board will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, in the library of the high school. A public hearing will be held at the beginning of the meeting regarding “extraordinary circumstances for use of videoconferencing board meetings.” Those who wish to attend are asked to contact Maureen Pitts, district clerk, at 716-358-7005 or mpitts@randolphcsd.org
United Senior Council Sponsoring Driver’s Course
The United Senior Council of Chautauqua County is sponsoring a driver’s safety course from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7. The cost is $35 and will be held at the Chautauqua Center in Jamestown on the third floor. Call Ellen Coffaro at 716-763-1012 to make a reservation no later than Oct. 1. The United Senior Council will provide refreshments.
Ellery Historian To Speak On One Room Schools
SINCLAIRVILLE — The October meeting of the Valley Historical Society will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at the Sinclairville Free Library at 7 p.m. The speaker will be the Town of Ellery historian, Cherrie Clark. Ms. Clark will speak on the one-room schoolhouses of the Town of Ellery. All persons interested in local history are invited to attend. New members are always welcome.
Randolph Historical Society To Host Guest Speaker Stillman
RANDOLPH — The Randolph Historical Society will host guest speaker Roy Stillman at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5. A Randolph Central School graduate, Stillman will discuss his time serving in government, including his time spent in the Diplomatic Security Service. All programs are open to the public. The program is held at the Randolph Municipal Building.
