Bemus Point School Board To Meet Today

The Bemus Point Board of Education will conduct its next regular meeting today, in the Cafeteria located at Maple Grove Jr/Sr High School, 3980 Dutch Hollow Road, Bemus Point. From 5:30-6 p.m. the board will meet in executive session, followed by a regular meeting at 6 p.m. The public is welcome.

Meeting Today By Zoom

The Chautauqua County Legislature will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. today by Zoom, with a live stream available on the Chautauqua County Facebook page for public viewing. Legislators will discuss accepting FAA funding for lighting improvements at the Chautauqua County Airport in Dunkirk. Comments for Privilege of the Floor may be mailed or hand delivered to Olivia Lee, Clerk-Legislature at 3 North Erie Street, Mayville, NY 14757 or emailed to leeo@chqgov.com. Comments received prior to 4 p.m. the day of the meeting shall be read by Lee during the appropriate privilege of the floor.

Christian Women Village Missions Country Partners To Hold Meeting Sept. 13

RUSSELL, Pa. — The Jamestown-Warren Christian Women Village Missions Country Partners will hold meet at noon Tuesday, Sept. 13, at Praise Fellowship Church, Russell. The guest speaker will be Kathy Joy Hoffer of Erie with her topic, “Meet Me on Normal Street …. Stories of Life Mapping” and Vi Birchard of Warren providing the music. Busti Fire Dept. Fire Auxiliary To Meet Tuesday

A special meeting of the Busti Fire Department Fire Auxiliary will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. Plans are being finalized for selling food at the Apple Festival. This year the auxiliary will be located in the Busti Fire Department on Mill Road serving our usual festival foods. The regular monthly meeting will be held Tuesday, Sept. 20, at 7 p.m. to set up for the Apple Festival. New members are welcome.

Chaut. County SOA Will Meet Tuesday

ASHVILLE — The next meeting of the Chautauqua County Society of Artists will meet Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at the Ashville Library on North Maple Avenue, Ashville. The group will make memory wire bracelets. All materials will be provided. At the last meeting, Terese Matthewson led us in a stenciling project using oils on canvass bags. Cookies and lemonade were served. Because the group will not have its annual holiday arts and crafts show and sale, members have started a list of other holiday shows and sales that artists may want to participate in.
