Last Day Of Church Program Set For Sunday

KENNEDY — The closing program of ‘ZOOMERANG’ vacation Bible school at Clark’s Corners Community Church, Kennedy, will be Sunday at 10 a.m. The children will give highlights of the week of VBS. A church dinner will follow the program. All are invited to attend. Those attending are asked to bring a dish to share. The church is located at 1 Gospel Lane, Kennedy. Richard Johnson is the pastor of the church.

Happy Days To Perform In Busti

Happy Days will perform at Saturday’s Busti Gazebo Concert Series from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Happy Days performs 1950s, 1960s and 1970s music with Gabriel (Ross) Giuffre on keyboard and Mary Giuffre on the drums. The Giuffres live in the Jamestown area from April 1 until fall, then are residents of Florida where they are busy entertaining for the winter months. Those attending Saturday’s concert are asked to bring a lawn chair for seating. Concerts are sponsored by the Busti Hamlet Development Association and the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation.

Club To Hold Chicken BBQ This Sunday

A chicken barbecue will be hosted by the ILS Veterans Club, located on Fluvanna Avenue next to Arbyás, on Sunday beginning at noon and available until sold out. Meals will include a half chicken, applesauce, roll and choice of roasted potatoes, macaroni salad or baked beans. The cost is $12 for a full dinner and $8 for chicken only.

Sewer District Board To Meet Tuesday

MAYVILLE — The North Chautauqua Lake Sewer District board will meet Tuesday, Aug. 9, at 4:30 p.m. in the Gerace Office Building, 3 N. Erie St, Room 331, Mayville. The meeting is open to the public.

47th Annual County Antique Show Continues

STOCKTON — The Chautauqua County Antique Equipment Association will hold its annual show Friday, Aug. 19, through Sunday, Aug. 21, beginning around 8 a.m. at the CCAEA grounds, 4578 Cemetery Road, Stockton. This year’s features include Oliver/Hart-Parr Tractors and Fractional Horse Power engines. The show also includes a flea market, auction, tractor pulls and parades, household and antique equipment demonstrations, children’s activities and crafts, printing, saw mill, machine and maple demonstrations. Parking is free and gate admission is $5 for adults. Children under 14 and current members are free. Friday is senior citizen day and seniors admission are $3.

Last Day Of Summer Program Announced

The last day of the Jamestown Summer Playground Program will be Friday at Lillian Dickson Park. Through the Summer Food Program, the YMCA will continue to provide lunches at the Lillian Dickson Park through the end of August. The free lunch will be served Monday through Friday between noon and 1 p.m. Meals will be available to children ages 18 and under.
