Breakfast Club Meets Thursday

The New York State Department of Transportation Breakfast Club will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday at Demetri’s in Dunkirk. All retirees are welcome to attend. Anyone with questions can contact Hank at 716-965-2007.

Club To Ride Bikes Saturday, Sunday

Members of the Allegheny Outdoor Club will ride bikes for 16 miles Saturday at Goddard State Park. Pat Spicer is the leader and will meet riders at the bike trail head across from the Pier 3 boat launch at 11 a.m. Parking is below the park office. After the ride there will be a lunch stop at Grahams Landing. Spicer can be reached at 814-757-8331 for questions. On Sunday, members will ride bikes on the Sandy Creek trail past Cranberry. The group will meet at Musante Street at 12:30 p.m. or the Rockland trail head off Cranberry Rockland Road at 2 p.m. Matt Nealer is the leader for the ride and can be reached at 724-657-7709.

Attending McCrea Point Park On Sunday

The Chautauqua Lake Region AACA has reserved the gazebo at McCrea Point Park from 9 to 11 a.m. Sunday. Antique cars will be in attendance as well as people who like talk about them. The club will be providing coffee and donuts. The public is welcome to attend.

Celoron Village Board To Hold Special Meeting Monday, July 25

CELORON — The Celoron Village Board will hold a special meeting on Monday, July 25, at 6 p.m. in the Celoron Community Center, 47 Dunham Ave., Celoron, to discuss and take possible action on the submission of a Consolidated Funding Grant Application for a new playground; an engineering agreement for the construction of a new highway garage; and to conduct other essential village business. The public is welcome to attend.

Graduate To Speak Tuesday

FREWSBURG — The Carroll Historical Society will be having former Frewsburg graduate and author Jeffrey Crawford to speak at 7 p.m. Tuesday at their facility located behind the town hall. Crawford will be talking on his newest book, “Chasing Golf.” Admission is free, but a donation will be taken to help pay for this event. There will be a raffle for Crawford’s first two books.

Patriots To Meet On Tuesday,

July 26

Carl Paladino, candidate for Congress, will be featured at the next general meeting of the Southern Tier TEA Party Patriots on Tuesday, July 26, at 7 p.m. at 1309 Norby Road. Also, Reese Powell also be present to discuss indoctrination in schools. An update will be given regarding the special election for the remining term vacated by former Rep. Tom Reed.
