First Library Jam Session Is Set For Thursday

SINCLAIRVILLE –The Sinclairville Free Library invites the public to participate in musical jam sessions led by Bill Frost on Thursday, July 21, from 3 to 5 p.m. and Thursday, Aug. 18, from 3 to 5 p.m. Those attending can sing or bring instruments to make music. Audience members are also welcome. The program is free and open to all ages. The library is located at 15 Main St., Sinclairville. Falconer Library To Host Book Sale

FALCONER –The Falconer Public Library’s 74th annual book sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday and from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. Available will be adult and juvenile fiction and non-fiction books, children’s books, CDs, DVDs and puzzles. Proceeds will go toward the purchase of new materials for the library. Local Author To Hold Book 9Signing

LAKEWOOD — Local author TJ Buck will hold a book signing for his recently released sixth novel, ‘Here Be Lions,’ at the Good Neighbor Bookstore in Lakewood from 1-3 p.m. Saturday. The writer’s sixth book is a crime novel featuring a former professional boxer who is forced to retire after a particularly brutal bout. When a friend of his daughter and the police are unable to help, he enlists friends, family, and even enemies to find her. Buck is a Jamestown native and Falconer High School graduate who spent 20-plus years as an award-winning journalist for various newspapers across New York state and in Arizona before returning to his hometown to write fiction full time.

The Rustic Ramblers To Perform Saturday

BUSTI — The Rustic Ramblers, a country music band featuring Howard Buck of Fredonia on lead guitar and vocals, David Bailey from Hartfield on drums and vocals, Jim Lanphere of Fredonia on bass and vocals, Gene Gilts from West Valley on steel guitar, will perform Saturday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Busti Gazebo Concert Series. Those attending should bring lawn chairs for seating. The concert series is sponsored by the Busti Hamlet Development Association and the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation.

Music, Meal To Be Provided In Randolph

RANDOLPH –An uplifting evening of praise music with brief inspirational messages will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday at 2467 Vollentine Road in Randolph. The free event will begin with a meal of hot dogs, chips, cookies and beverage. Everyone is asked to bring a friend and a chair, if possible.
