Next JHRC Meeting To Be Held July 15

The regularly scheduled meeting of the Jamestown Human Rights Commission will not be held on June 17. Members will be present and volunteering at the Juneteenth Celebration Movie Night at the National Comedy Center. The next regularly scheduled meeting is July 15.

Panama Central Board To Meet This Week At Webb’s

The Panama Central School The Board of Education will hold special board meetings Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Webb’s Captain’s Table in Mayville. It is anticipated the board will go into executive session to discuss matters relating to the employment histories of particular person or persons and matters related to the hiring of a new district superintendent.

Artists To Meet At Ashville Library

ASHVILLE — The Chautauqua County Society of Artists will meet at the Ashville Public Library at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. At the group’s last meeting, artist Terry Matthewson helped the group prepare wooden dog-shaped door stops for the detail painting the group will do Tuesday. There will be a limited number of prepared door stops Tuesday for those who missed last month. Those attending are asked to bring detail brushes and acrylic paints for what will be the eye color and dog collar color plus black if they have them. A limited supply will be there for those who don’t have them. Also, those attending are asked to wear suitable clothing. Yearly dues will be collected.
