Blood Drive Wed. March 9 At The Sugar Grove

SUGAR GROVE, Pa. — Community Blood Bank will hold a blood drive from 3-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Sugar Grove Borough Fire Department. “The blood shortage that spans the nation has affected the blood bank for two years now,” Community Relations Specialist Erin Tighe said. “There have been highs and lows, but there is less than a one-day supply of blood on the shelves all too often.” All donors will be entered to win one of four $300 gift cards to either Lowe’s or Home Depot, she said.

Senior Citizens Meeting At Noon Today

SINCLAIRVILLE — The Sinclairville Senior Citizens will gather at noon today in the Sinclairville fire hall dining room for a St. Patrick’s Day meal. The corned beef and cabbage will be provided, and those attending are asked to bring a dish of food to add to the meal and their own table service. New members are always welcome.

Meeting And Budget Workshop Thurs. March 10 At Frewsburg Central School

FREWSBURG — The Frewsburg Central School Board will hold a budget workshop at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday and a regular meeting at 6 p.m. in the middle-high school library. Spaghetti Dinner Sat. March 12

The Marco Polo Club will be holding an in-club, sit-down, spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, March 12. Dinners are now $11 for adults and $6 for children. Take-out dinners will be available. Drive-through orders are still not available.

Auction April 2 At Chaut. Suites in Mayville

The Child Advocacy Program will be hosting a 10th anniversary Diamond Dinner and Auction April 2 at the Chautauqua Suites in Mayville. “Due to the pandemic, CAP has not been able to hold this signature fundraiser for two years now,” said Beth Oakes, CAP executive director. “We are excited to be able to see our sponsors, community supporters and friends in person this year.” Tickets are on sale and can be bought through the CAP website at www.capjustice.org, or by calling 716-338-9844. Tickets are $75 each or two for $125. In 2021, CAP served 450 youth, provided 67 medicals and 170 forensic interviews. CAP raises about 12% of its budget annually and this event helps the agency reach its goal.
