Outdoor Club Hike And Ski Sun. Feb. 20 On Kinzua Valley Trail
Members of the Allegheny Outdoor Club will hike and ski Sunday at Westline on the Kinzua Valley trail. The group will meet on Musante Street by 1:15 p.m. or 2 p.m. at the Kinzua Valley Trail head. Vendor And Craft Sale Sat. Feb. 19
MAYVILLE — A vendor and craft sale will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Chautauqua Suites & Expo Center, 215 W. Lake Road, Mayville. Admission and parking is free. Drive-Through Chicken BBQ Sun. Feb. 20
RUSSELL, Pa. — The Lander Volunteer Fire Department is hosting a drive-through chicken barbecue Sunday starting at noon and available until the meals are gone. A full dinner is $10; a half-chicken is $7; and a child’s meal is $7. Chicken will be cooked over charcoal fire with the department’s signature basting sauce. Sides include potato salad, applesauce, roll and dessert.

Phlebotomy Course Offered by UPMC
Chautauqua Starts Tues. March 15
A 13-week phlebotomy course is being offered by UPMC Chautauqua for anyone interested in pursuing a career in phlebotomy. The Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES course prepares participants for entry-level positions. It starts Tuesday, March 15, and is offered Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 to 9 p.m. at UPMC Chautauqua, Building D, 17 Sherman St. The cost for the course is $895. The course includes classroom lectures, hands-on practice, and clinical rotation. A physical and immunizations are required. For more information on the course, call 716-672-4371, extension 2136.
Summer Help Sought In City
The Jamestown Department of Parks, Recreation & Conservation is seeking temporary summer seasonal employees for playground program recreation attendants. The positions are open to college students who are 18 years of age or older and residents of the city. Work hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The six-week Summer Playground Program for children ages 5 to 13 takes place at four playground sites in the city. It features scheduled activities, including a talent show, a carnival and “Playground Olympics.” At the individual parks, there are games such as mancala, kickball, football, box hockey and wiffle ball. A Civil Service Application can be completed and returned to the Parks & Rec Administration Office, 145 Steele St., Jamestown.
