Soil And Water Conservation District Board Of Directors Meet On Wed. Nov. 17

The Chautauqua County Soil and Water Conservation District board of directors will meet at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Bemus Point United Methodist Church, 4954 Bemus Ellery Road No. 9739, Bemus Point. Meeting To Be Virtual

MAYVILLE — Due to the increasing cases of COVID-19, the Chautauqua County Board of Health’s previously announced in person meeting has been changed to virtual. St. Luke’s Thrift Shop Stocked With Winter Clothing

St. Luke’s Thrift Shop, 409 Pine St., between East Fourth and East Fifth streets, Jamestown, has winter clothing for men, women and children. The shop has Christmas items for sale now. At this time the shop still has a large selection of warm clothing including jackets, boots, gloves and hats. The men’s department has many new or nearly new jackets up to size 5X. The housewares department includes many useful items and gifts available. The shop is open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Receiving is only on Tuesday from 9 a.m. to noon. All proceeds are used for outreach locally.

Thule Lodge to Meet This

FALCONER ­ The Thule Lodge will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Falconer’s Nest in Falconer for its monthly meeting. All members are encouraged to attend. The meeting agenda will include the annual Christmas dinner. Refreshments will be provided after the meeting. Thule Lodge serves to preserve the Swedish heritage through event and activities.

FALCONER — The Falconer Public Library’s next board meeting will be Thursday, Nov. 18, at 8 a.m. in the library, 101 W. Main St., Falconer. The public is welcome to attend.

CELORON — A quarterly inspection will be conducted at 101 Jackson Ave., Celoron, on Thursday, Nov. 18. Water in Celoron, Lakewood and westward may become discolored and take 12 to 24 hours to clear.
