School Board Meet On Nov. 18

RIPLEY — The Ripley Central School Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, in the IRLA library in room 204. The public is welcome to attend.

WIN Program To Be Held Nov. 18

The next Small Business Development Center at Jamestown Community College Women in Networking Chautauqua program will take place on Thursday, Nov. 18, at noon. The speaker, Mary Ellen Humphrey, will discuss changes to the business model for women in business and other observations she has seen throughout her career. Humphrey served three terms in the New Hampshire Legislature, first in the House, then the Senate. Retired now, she is spending time writing and establishing a new life here in New York. Antique Auto Club Will Meet Wed. Nov. 17

The Antique Auto club will meet Wednesday at the Fluvanna War Vets at 7 p.m. Members are asked to attend as board nominations are due. For more information, call 716-287-3754. New members are welcome to join.

Genealogical Society Meet Nov. 17

CASSADAGA — The Chautauqua County Genealogical Society will meet Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Cassadaga American Legion located at 228 Maple Ave. in the village. The meeting will be the annual election of officers for 2022 and then a Christmas pot luck meal. Pizza, soft drinks and water will be provided, and plates, napkins and silverware as well. Those attending are encouraged to bring something to add to the meal. Following the meal, guest speaker Steve Teeft will talk about the only exclusively Civil War museum in New York state, located in Springville. The museum is called Echoes in Time. The public is invited.

WESTFIELD — The Westfield Union Relief Association will not hold its annual charity ball due to the pandemic. The association is still organizing its Christmas Project for local families and senior citizens through support from the annual golf tournament and the outpouring of donations it received last year.

Education Meet Nov. 16

The Jamestown Public Schools Board of Education will meet Tuesday in the auditorium of Lincoln Elementary School, 301 Front St., Jamestown. There will be a brief presentation by the school at 5:45 p.m. with the regular meeting to follow starting at 6 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.
