Mock School Bus Accident Sat. Nov. 13

GERRY — The Gerry Fire Department is holding a mock school bus accident for training purposes Saturday from 9-11 a.m. at Route 380 and VanCobb Road, just off Route 60 in Kimball Stand. Van Cobb Road will be closed to traffic and motorists traveling Route 60 at that time should drive with caution as there will be numerous fire trucks and ambulances along the highway between Kimball Stand and the Gerry Rodeo Grounds as multiple area fire departments are participating in the drill.

Chaut. County Ethics Board To Meet On Nov. 17

MAYVILLE — The Chautauqua County Ethics Board will meet at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, in room 149 of the Gerace Office Building, 3 N. Erie St., Mayville. Current members of the board are John Hamels, Diane Hannum, John Marengo, David Rowe and Mary Kay Szwejbka. Individuals attending the meeting will be required to wear a face mask within the security screening area of the building and if they are not vaccinated for COVID-19.

North Chaut. Lake Sewer

District Board Meet On Mon. Nov. 15

The North Chautauqua Lake Sewer District board will meet at 4:30 p.m. Monday to propose a District Boundary extension to include the property’s within the Mandolin Ridge Development in the town of Chautauqua. The meeting will be held in room 331 in the Gerace Office Building in Mayville. The meeting is open to the public with masks and social distancing required.

JCC Board Of Trustees Meet On Nov. 16

The next meeting of the Jamestown Community College Board of Trustees will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. The meetings will be held via videoconference between the boardrooms on the Jamestown Campus, Jamestown; Cattaraugus County Campus, Olean; and the North County Extension Center. Dunkirk. Due to COVID concerns, attendees must register to attend the meeting with Marsha Hern at 716-338-1060 or marshahern@mail.sunyjcc.edu.

Blood Drive Nov. 16 At UPMC Chaut.

A blood drive will be held from noon-5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, at UPMC Chautauqua in Jamestown. To schedule an appointment, call Kathy at 716-450-0376. Appointments are encouraged to reduce wait time, but are not required. Walk-ins will be taken as space allows.

Ripley Central School Board Meeting Thurs. Nov. 18

RIPLEY — The Ripley Central School Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, in the IRLA library in room 204. The public is welcome to attend.
