AOC To Hike Rimrock Area

Members of the Allegheny Outdoor Club will hike 3 to 4 miles Sunday on the black bear trail in the Rimrock area. The group will meet at 1:30 p.m. at Musante Street, Warren, or at the Rimrock entrance at 2 p.m. For any questions, call Earl Ross at (814) 706-1198.

Farmland Board To Meet

MAYVILLE — The Chautauqua County Agriculture and Farmland Protection Board will meet at 11 a.m. Monday in the Gerace Office Building, room 331, 3 N. Erie St., Mayville. Contact Lauren Sharp at the Chautauqua County Department of Planning and Development with any questions at 661-8245.

UPMC To Host Blood Drive

The Community Blood Bank will hold a blood drive from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday at UPMC Chautauqua WCA. “Our goal is to make sure there is always blood available when someone is in need” says Erin Tighe, community relations specialist. “You may not know who gets your blood but know that each donation gives someone more time to spend with loved ones.” To schedule an appointment to donate, call Kathy at 716-450-0376. Appointments are encouraged to reduce wait times, but not required. Walk-ins will be taken as space allows. Everyone who donates in the month of November with Community Blood Bank will automatically be entered to win a Peloton exercise bike and a six-month subscription to the Peloton App. The winner will be drawn December 1, 2021. Students To Play Taps Today

At 11 a.m. today, students from the Brocton, Cassadaga Valley, Chautauqua Lake Central, Jamestown Public Schools, Southwestern Central School district and students fom the State University of New York Fredonia School of Music will play taps outside their homes while wearing their band uniforms. Community members are encouraged to step outside and participate in the acknowledgment of Veterans during this occasion.

History Society Hosting Pot Luck

FREWSBURG — The Carroll Historical Society will be having a pot luck dinner on Monday at 6 p.m. at its facility, 5 W. Main St. Frewsburg, behind town hall. Those attending are asked to bring a dish to pass, their own table service and drinks. There will be a final meeting and election of officers following the dinner. The public is welcome and admission is free.
