Fenton Christmas Market To Be Held Saturday

The Fenton Christmas Market, A Christmas Craft Show, will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday featuring local artists and craftsmen and vintage Christmas decor available for holiday shopping. The event will be held at the Fenton History Center on Washington Street. . Admission for the day is $2. The usual exhibits will be blocked with items for sale. Masks are encouraged.

Falconer Key Club Accepting Book Donations

FALCONER — The Falconer Key Club is holding a donation drive for gently used children’s, tweens’ and teens’ books during the month of November. Books will be sorted and redistributed to Falconer school buildings so students in pre-kindergarten through 12th grades can “shop” for books to give as gifts or to keep to read over winter break. Those interested in donating can schedule a drop off or pick up by emailing mplumb@falconerschools.org.

Safety Village Car Seat Check Is Thursday

ASHVILLE — The Chautauqua Safety Village’s certified child passenger safety technicians will be offering a free car seat safety check and education to parents and caregivers on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Ashville Fire Department, 5338 Stow Road, Ashville. The event will include instruction on how to install and use car seats correctly. Technicians will also help determine if your child is in the right seat for their age and size, and explain the importance of registering car seats with their manufacturers so parents and caregivers can be notified if there is a recall. “We know parents and caregivers have a lot on their plates, so we hope that this seat check will be an opportunity to ensure your child is safe in their car seat or booster seat,” said Jessica Dayton, Chautauqua Safety Village executive director. Salvation Army Accepting Xmas Assistance Applications

The Salvation Army is accepting Christmas assistance applications. Applications will be taken by appointment only due to COVID 19. Interested applicants will bring proof of income, expenses, and household members to their scheduled appointments. Appointments can be made by calling our office at 716-664-4108. If community members would like to help with Christmas campaign, donations of turkeys or hams can be dropped off at the 83 S. Main St., Jamestown, location.
