1972 Reunion

The Jamestown High School Classes of 1971 and 1972 Reunion Committees will hold a combined 50th class reunion on Friday, July 8, 2022, from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Chautauqua Harbor Hotel in Celoron. Members of both classes are asked to make sure their respective representatives are have updated postal and email addresses. Collecting Of Unused Greeting Cards

The Westfield-Mayville Rotary Club is collecting unused holiday greeting cards with their envelope. In the past two years the club has shared more than 3,800 cards with shut-ins, seniors, military members in the VA and those who receive Meals on Wheels. To donate extra cards, contact Linda Dunn at 326-3012 or Doc Hamels at hamels@fairpoint.net or any Rotarian in the area to arrange for pick up.

Mobile Pantry Truck At Ashville United Methodist Church Oct. 26

ASHVILLE — The Feed More of Western New York Mobile Pantry Truck from Falconer will be at the Ashville United Methodist Church on Tuesday. Open hours are 10 a.m. to noon and 3 to 5 p.m. The truck brings fresh produce and some staple items. To receive free food, only proof of address from the following ZIP codes is required: Ashville 14710, Bemus Point 14712, Celoron 14720, Lakewood 14750, Niobe 14758, Panama 14767, Stow 14785 and anyone who lives in the town of Busti. Wear a face mask and keep six feet of social distance while in line. The food will be pre-boxed like last month. A volunteer will sign recipients in and take the box to their car. Myers Memorial Library Closed For Renovation

FREWSBURG — The Myers Memorial Library will be closed from Nov. 1 to Nov. 13 to prepare for a renovation. The library will reopen Nov. 15 in the downstairs part of the library only during the renovation. Those visiting the library after Nov. 15 should use only the Ivory Street door.

C.C. Ethics Board Meeting Nov. 2

MAYVILLE — The Chautauqua County Ethics Board will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, in the legislative chambers of the Gerace Office Building, 3 N. Erie St., Mayville. Current members of the board are John Hamels, Diane Hannum, John Marengo, David Rowe and Mary Kay Szwejbka. Individuals attending the meeting will be required to wear a face mask within the security screening area of the building and if they are not vaccinated for COVID-19.
