Annual Election Day Dinner

KENNEDY — The Kennedy Free Library will be holding its annual Election Day dinner on Nov. 2 from 4-7 p.m. This year the dinner will be held at the Kennedy Free Library. Take outs will also be available. Tickets are available now presale at the library during business hours and are $12 per person. There will be limited availability at the door. 3C’s catering will be providing a turkey dinner and pie will also be available. There will also be three basket raffles and 50/50 tickets to purchase.

Biscuit Dinner

FALCONER — Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Falconer will host a take-out chicken and biscuit dinner Thursday from 4:30-6:30 p.m. The price will be $10 for adults and $5 for children. Dinner includes chicken and biscuits, mashed potatoes, vegetable and dessert included. To order dinners ahead call 665-3102. The church is located at 20 N. Phetteplace St., Falconer. The proceeds will benefit the Mission Fund that helps people who are experiencing a difficult time to show they are loved.

Take-Out Meals Thursday Oct. 21

The Marvin Community House in Jamestown is offering take-out meals available for pick up between 3-4 p.m. Thursday that will include salad, creamy parmesan chicken, couscous, oven roasted fall root vegetables and gingerbread cake with carmel topping. Reservations can be made by sending an email to marvinhouse@netsync.net or calling 488-6206. The cost is $18 for members.

Roads Closed To All Traffic

ELLINGTON — Waterboro Hill Road in the town of Ellington, between Bush Road and Route 62, will be closed to all traffic today and Wednesday. The closure is for replacement of a culvert and a detour will be posted.

Sinclairville Library Invites The Public

SINCLAIRVILLE — The Sinclairville Free Library invites the public to participate in a musical jam session led by Bill Frost on Thursday, Oct. 21, from 3-5 p.m. Bring your voices and/or instruments and come together to make music in the community. Audience members are also welcome. The program is free and open to all ages. The library is located at 15 Main St. in Sinclairville. Blessing of the Animals

Kidder Memorial United Methodist Church, 381 S. Main St., Jamestown, will offer a Blessing of the Animals service at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23. All dogs, cats, birds, rodents or any other domesticated pet can receive an individual blessing from Pastor Tom LeBeau. The service will be held in the parking lot, weather permitting, otherwise it will be held in Fellowship Hall, located in the church’s basement. The church asks that all animals be either in carriers or leashed to ensure the comfort and safety of all attendees. There will be a time in the service to remember animal friends who have died in the past year. People are invited to bring pictures of those pets as well.
