Rodeo City Seniors Going To Meet Friday

GERRY — The Rodeo City senior citizens will meet on Friday at noon at the United Methodist Church for a luncheon and program. The program will be “Where were you on Sept. 11, 2001?” Those attending are asked to bring any memorabilia they may have saved including their stories of the day. All attending are asked to bring a dish of food to share and their own table service.

Frewsburg School Board Meeting Set For Thursday

FREWSBURG — The Frewsburg Central School Board will hold its regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the middle-high school library. Anyone wishing to attend is asked to contact the district clerk by 3 p.m. the day of the meeting by calling 569-7041 or emailing lsmith@frewsburgcsd.org. Masks must be worn at all times in the building regardless of vaccination status.

Sinclairville Village Board Meeting Today

SINCLAIRVILLE — The Sinclairville Village Board will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. today in the village office, 8 Lester St., Sinclairville. The public is welcome to attend.

Westfield Quilters Guild To Meet

WESTFIELD — Members of theWestfield Quilters’ Guild will meet at the YWCA in Westfield on Saturday. A meet and greet will take place at 9:30 a.m. with the meeting starting at 10 a.m. This month the program will be presented by member Glenda Lewis, who will share her love of Stripology Rulers, and teach how to use them as she teaches the Alberta Quilt. Patterns will be available for purchase at the meeting.

Marco Polo Club Dinner Saturday

The Marco Polo Club will be holding an indoor, sit-down, in-club, spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday. If COVID-vaccinated, diners need not wear masks. If un-vaccinated, diners are requested to wear masks whenever they are not actively eating or drinking. Dinners are $10 for adults, $5 for children. Take-out dinners will be available.

County To Hold 9/11 Ceremony Saturday

The local American Legion and the Chautauqua County Veterans Council will be holding a 9/11 remembrance ceremony on Saturday at noon in front of the Chautauqua County Courthouse, 1 N. Erie St. in Mayville. The program is to honor and remember the over 3,000 Americans who were killed on Sept. 11, 2001, at World Trade Center in New York City, the pentagon just outside of Washington, D.C., and a field in Western Pennsylvania. “This year marks the 20th Anniversary of 9/11,” said County Executive PJ Wendel. “I encourage residents to attend or pause and take a moment on September 11th to honor and remember those who tragically lost their lives on this horrific day in 2001.”
