Vaccination Clinic To Be Held

From 3:30-6:30 p.m. today, UPMC Chautauqua, The Chautauqua Center and the Chautauqua County Department of Health and Human Services will be hosting a free Women’s Health Event and COVID-19 vaccination clinic at the DoubleTree Hotel, 150 W. Fourth St. in Jamestown. The main audience for the event is women and girls but all are welcome. There will also be refreshments, surprise gift drawings, many community resource tables, and the Jamestown Mobile Public Market will be on-site. Vaccinators will be onsite to administer Pfizer vaccinations to anyone age 12 and older.

Thrift Shop To Reopen

MAYVILLE — St. Paul’s Thrift Shop, 99 S. Erie St., Mayville, will reopen Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The thrift shop will also be open from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

Farmers Market Set For Today

MAYVILLE — A farmers and artisans market will be held today from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Mayville Village Park, at the traffic light at Route 394 and Route 430, Mayville. It will feature farmers and artisans, with special events to be announced.

Village Garbage Pickup Is July 7

FALCONER — Due to the Fourth of July holiday, garbage pickup in the village of Falconer is scheduled for Wednesday, July 7. Residents are asked to refrain from taking trash and articles to the curb until Tuesday evening.

Celoron Water Main Breaks

CELORON — Motorists on Fairmount Avenue at Dunham Avenue in Celoron were notified Wednesday that they should find alternate routes due to work on a water main break at the intersection. The Jamestown Board of Public Utilities said water would be shut off to customers on Fairmount between Dunham and South Allegheny while repairs were made.

Tractor Pull Set In South Dayton

The South Dayton Volunteer Fire Co. is holding its annual Antique Tractor Pull on the weekend of July 10 and 11. Their is a $5 admission and $10 hitch fees for pulls. The pulls begin at noon each day. On Saturday, the department will be selling pulled pork sandwiches and potatoes beginning at 11:30 a.m. until sold out. On Sunday, there will be a drive-through Chiavetta’s chicken barbecue beginning at 11:30 a.m. until sold out. The Firebells have a refreshment stand that runs both days. Blood Drive To Be Held July 7

FREWSBURG – Blood donations are critically needed now and throughout the summer to ensure availability of all blood types for patients in need in local hospitals. While summer can often be a challenging season for blood donations, the Community Blood Bank is facing a unique and concerning set of challenges this July. A blood drive will be held from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, at the American Legion Samuel L. Derby Post 556, 9 E. Meadow St., Frewsburg. To schedule an appointment, call Kathy Hastings at 450-0376.
