Rutledge Spring Clean Saturday

CONEWANGO — The spring clean up for the Rutledge Rural Cemetery, Seager Hill, Conewango, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday. Those attending are asled to bring rakes, tarps and drinking water. All help is greatly appreciated.

Falconer Cleanup Day May 8

FALCONER — The village of Falconer and the Falconer Rotary Club has announced the 25th annual village-wide cleanup day for Saturday, May 8, rain or shine, starting at 9 a.m. Those taking part are asked to report to the Falconer Fire Hall on Davis Street for assignments. Also bring rakes, gloves and any other tools for use. Trash bags will be provided. Resident will be cleaning Davis Park, Coleson Park, Village Park, Millrace Park and selected streets. Falconer residents and groups are encouraged to help with this important project. Lunch will follow cleanup.

Vaccine Clinic To Be Held Friday

FINDLEY LAKE — Univera Healthcare and Kinney Drugs, in conjunction with the Chautauqua County Department of Health, will host a COVID-19 vaccine clinic on Friday from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Mina-Findley Lake Community Center, 2883 North Road, Findley Lake. All state residents ages 18 and older may attend. Appointments are required and can be made online at kinneydrugs.as.me/Univera-ChautauquaCounty. Attendees must be prepared to show identification and a health insurance card. Univera Healthcare is the first area health insurer to host a vaccine clinic in Chautauqua County. The nonprofit health plan is headquartered in Buffalo and has a Chautauqua County office on West Third Street in Jamestown. Kinney Drugs operates a chain of 96 full-service drug stores located throughout New York and Vermont.

Pie Auction To Be Held May 7

Literacy Volunteers of Chautauqua County is holding a virtual pie auction starting at 8 a..m. Friday and ending at noon Friday, May 7. The winners will be notified by email and via a call from Literacy Volunteers of Chautauqua County. The pies need to be picked up on Saturday, May 8, at the respective bakery/restaurant. Businesses participating include Sweet Elaine’s, Chai’s Chocolates & Gifts, Ellie’s Deli, Monika’s Delites, The Cakery, The Mustard Seed Restaurant/Five Loaves Bakery, Lena’s Pizza and Sub Shop, Sweet Perfections Bakery and Om Nohm Gluten Free Bakery and Cafe. Tops Serving s Drug Drop-Off Site

Tops Markets locations at 3955 Vineyard Drive, Dunkirk, and 2000 Washington St., Jamestown, continue to serve as approved drop-off locations for prescription drugs. Shoppers can find clearly designated disposal bins located in the Tops pharmacy department where they can dispose of their unused and unwanted medications. “Tops is pleased to be able to offer this added convenience to the community not only on April 24th, but year round,” said Matthew Hamed, director of pharmacy operations for Tops Friendly Markets. “We want to help be a part of the solution. Proper disposal of unused, unwanted and/or expired prescription medications helps not only protect our environment, but more importantly saves lives.”
