TEA Party Will Meet Tuesday

Members of the Southern Tier TEA Party will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at 1309 Norby Road.

Food Pantry Open On Sat.

KENNEDY — The Kennedy United Methodist Church food pantry and children’s clothing closet will be open on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. All residents of the Falconer School District are welcome. The church is located at 3594 Church St., Kennedy. Enter from the lower door which is handicap accessible. Wear a mask and observe social distancing rules.

Cemetery Assn. To Meet Tuesday

CONEWANGO — The annual meeting of the Rutledge Rural Cemetery Association, Seager Hill, Conewango, will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the cemetery. All interested parties urged to attend. Bring your lawn chair.

Chicken BBQ Set For Sunday

SINCLAIRVILLE — The Sinclairville Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 will be hosting a chicken barbecue at noon Sunday. The event will be drive-through only, with full dinners consisting of a half-chicken, scalloped potatoes, applesauce, roll, and cookie, for $11. Half-chicken only meals are available for $7 each. Those attending are asked to line up in the rear parking lot of the fire hall.

LAKEWOOD — The intersection of Chautauqua Avenue and Summit Street in the village of Lakewood will be closed beginning Monday due to construction.

School Budget Hearing Set

A public hearing will be held on the Frewsburg Central School District’s proposed 2021-22 budget at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 6. Anyone who wants to attend in-person should inform Laura Smith, district clerk, at 569-7041 or lsmith@frewsburgcsd.org by 3 p.m. the day of the meeting so district officials can plan for the appropriate number of attendees. Masks and social distancing are required when attending in-person. Pre-Licensing Course Set

FREWSBURG — A five-hour pre-licensing course will be held from 5 to 10 p.m. via Zoom through Frewsburg Central School. The course costs $25. Pre-register by calling 569-7026 between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Students must have their learner’s permit available when calling.

Pill Take Back Day To Be Held

The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office is holding its semi-annual National Pill Take Back Day Saturday. The public can drop off prescription and non-prescription medication for proper disposal. No “sharps” items will be accepted at this time. The following locations will be staffed Saturday between 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: the Salamanca City Fire Department, 225 Wildwood St., Salamanca; and the Delevan Plaza, 40 N. Main St., Delevan. Anyone who previously used the disposal location at the county Office Building in Olean is encouraged to drop medication at the Olean Police Department, 101 E. State St., Olean.
