Outdoor Club To Hike Sunday

The Allegheny Outdoor Club will be hiking to Gardeners Rocks on Sunday. The group will meet at the Conservation District parking lot approximately two miles up Hatch Run from Route 62. Greg Burkett will lead the hike and he can be reached at (814) 730-4686 with any questions.

JCC Trustees To Hold Meeting

School Board To Meet Tuesday

FREWSBURG — The Frewsburg Central School Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the middle-high school library. Those who wish to attend in-person should inform Laura Smith, district clerk, at 569-7041 or lsmith@frewsburgcsd.org by 3 p.m. the day of the meeting. Face masks must be worn and social distancing will be enforced. The meeting will also be streamed live at https://ensemble.e2ccb.org/Watch/FrewsburgCSDBOE. Planning Panel Meets April 20

The Jamestown Planning Commission will meet at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, via Zoom. The meeting will be recorded and posted on the city’s website at www.jamestown.ny.gov. Public comments can be forwarded to Ellen Shadle, city principal planner, at shadle@jamestownny.gov until 4 p.m. Monday.

Parks, Rec Sets Softball Meeting

The City of Jamestown Parks, Recreation & Conservation Department announced its second and final informational meeting for the 2021 softball leagues including modified softball, co-ed softball and city slo-pitch. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 21, at 6 p.m. at the Parks and Recreation Office, located at 115 Fairmount Ave., Jamestown. All interested teams are asked to have a representative present at the respective meeting. For additional information, contact the Recreation Office at 483-7523.

Blood Drive To Be Held April 22

An American Red Cross blood drive will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. April 22 at the Ashville Fire Department, 5338 Stow Road, Ashville. Each Red Cross blood drive and donation center follows the highest standards of safety and infection control, and additional precautions including temperature checks, social distancing and face masks for donors and staff have been implemented to help protect the health of all those in attendance. Donors are asked to schedule an appointment prior to arriving at the drive and are required to wear a face mask while at the drive, in alignment with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention public guidance. All blood types are needed to ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age in most states (16 with parental consent where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements. Visit RedCrossBlood.org or call 800-733-2767.
