Ellicott Town Court Will Not Be In Session

FALCONER — The Ellicott Town Court will not be in session until further notice. Those who have a scheduled court date, the court staff will reach out as soon as it is allowed to hold in-person sessions again. Those who have recently moved, or have a new phone number, are asked to reach out to the court. Those who have an attorney are asked to reach out to them with any questions regarding a case. The town court can be reached at 665-5319 or ellicotttowncourt@nycourts.gov. Messages will be returned as soon as possible.

Scholarship Application To Open January

The Community Foundation of Warren County online scholarship application for the 2021-22 academic year will open in January or early February. High School seniors who expect to graduate in June and plan to move on to post-secondary education may sign up for an email notification when applications open by visiting cfowc.org.

Human Rights Commission Meeting Canceled

The Jamestown Human Rights Commission meeting originally scheduled for today has been canceled.

Spike In

Larcenies Being Investigated

FALCONER — The Ellicott Police Department said it is investigating a spike in the number of larcenies taking place in Falconer. In a message posted Wednesday to Facebook, the department said the larcenies are from unlocked vehicles in the village. Police are reminding residents to lock their vehicles and not keep valuables in plain view. Those who have home surveillance and may have video of anyone attempting to enter vehicles is asked to contact Ellicott police at 665-7083.

Pet Adoption Event Set At Chautauqua Mall

The Chautauqua County Humane Society continues its successful series of “Season of Hope” adoption events at its store in the Chautauqua Mall. The Season of Hope is brought to you by Happy Hounds Hotel and Day Spa. This event will be held on Friday from 3-7 p.m. and on Saturday from noon-4 p.m. “Make 2020 a year to remember by adding a fur baby to the family,” the humane society said. “There will be a variety of pets available for adoption. There will also be Chautauqua County Humane Society T-shirts and pet goods available for purchase. Watch the CCHS Facebook page and Chqhumane.org for a sneak peek at pets that will be available for adoption as we get closer to this adoption event. All CDC guidelines will be strictly enforced and masks will be required for entry.”

JCC Board Of Trustees To Meet Tuesday
