Land Bank To Meet Wednesday

Members of the Chautauqua County Land Bank Corp. will meet online at 9 a.m. Wednesday. The public is welcome to attend. To register, send an email to gparadis@chautauqualandbank.org for the link and password.

BPU Sets Pump Maintenance

Pump maintenance at the Board of Public Utilities Buffalo Street Pump Station starting at 7 a.m. today is expected to cause discolored water on the north side of the city. The water may take 12 to 24 hours to clear. Water customers in the north side neighborhoods are advised not to do laundry unless water looks clear.

Mozart Club Cancels Lunch

Due to the resurgence of COVID-19, the Mozart club has decided to cancel its Christmas lunch and program originally scheduled for Wednesday.

Thrift Shop Has Holiday Items

St. Luke’s Thrift Shop, 409 Pine St. between East Fourth and East Fifth streets in Jamestown, announced that all ladies pants and slacks are $1, ladies sweaters half price, infant clothing half price. There is a large selection of Christmas items and toys as well as new household items. Hours for sales and receiving are Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; receiving only Tuesdays 9 a.m. to noon. Please enter on Pine Street. Face covering, hand sanitizing and contact tracing signing are required to enter.

Marvin House Sets Take-Out

The Marvin House in Jamestown will offer take-out meals Thursday that will include a “Taste of Swedish Holidays,” with a cucumber salad, Swedish meatballs, korv, Kaldomar, limpa rye bread, Rutamos and rice pudding. School Board To Meet Thursday

FREWSBURG — The Frewsburg Central School Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the high school library. Anyone who wishes to attend is asked to contact Laura Smith, district clerk, at 569-7041 or lsmith@frewsburgcsd.org to make arrangements by 3 p.m. that day.

Spaghetti Dinner Planned For Sat.

The Marco Polo Club will be holding a take-out spaghetti dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12. Patrons are recommended to call 665-3309 in advance to order. All customers are asked to enter the parking lot for pickup via the Dexter Street entrance and proceed to the doors on the side of the club. Dinners are $10 for adults, and $5 for children.

Health Board To Meet Dec. 17

MAYVILLE — The Chautauqua County Board of Health will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, by remote access. The meeting can be viewed by visiting facebook.com/myhealthycounty/ . Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the public may participate in privilege of the floor by emailing a statement prior to the meeting to the raters@co.chautauqua.ny.us. Emailed statements shall be read during the privilege of the floor.
