Zoning Panel Will Not Hold Meeting

Due to a lack of agenda items, the Jamestown Zoning Board of Appeals will not meet in November.

School Board To Meet Wednesday

RANDOLPH — The Randolph Central School Board will meet at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in the high school library. Those who wish to attend are asked to contact Maureen Pitts, district clerk, at 358-7005 or mpitts@randolphcsd.org to make arrangements by 2 p.m. the day of the meeting. Face masks are required and social distancing will be observed.

PVCS Board Cancels Meeting

SOUTH DAYTON — The Pine Valley Central School Board of Education meeting scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 12, has been canceled. The next regular meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 10.

Marvin House Offers Takeout Meals Thurs.

The Marvin House, 2 W. Fifth St., Jamestown, will offer take-out meals Thursday. Each meal will include an Italian salad, homemade Italian bread, lasagna and Italian cookies, and costs $17 for members and $20 for non-members. Reservations can be made by sending an email to marvinhouse@netsync.net or by calling the Marvin House at 488-6206.

Sewer Board To Meet Thursday

The Technical Committee of the South and Center Chautauqua Lake Sewer Districts will meet at 9:30 a.m. Thursday by video conference. Those wishing to join by phone are asked to call 646-558-8656 with the meeting ID 999-449-0210.

Aux. To Serve Veterans Day Dinner Nov. 11

To honor all veterans, AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary 726 will be serving a rigatoni with meat sauce dinner on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, at the ILS Veterans Club, 364 Fluvanna Ave., Jamestown, from 2-5 p.m. The dinner includes salad, bread and dessert. Non-veterans may get a dinner for a $7. donation. The dinners may be eaten in the dining room or can be packaged to go.

Quilters Guild Sets Schedule For Meetings

WESTFIELD — The Westfield Quilt Guild willl now meet at the Westfield YWCA at 9:30 a.m. on the second Saturday of the month (except for December), weather-permitting followed by the monthly meeting at 10 a.m. This month, the group will learn a new technique from one of the members. The meeting room is spacious to allow for social distancing, and masks must be worn. The Westfield Quilt Guild works throughout the year on comfort quilts that are distributed to various local groups each November. This year, the group is donating pillowcases, shawls, hats and over 100 quilts to those groups.

Sewer Board To Hold Meeting

The Chautauqua County Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Directors will meet at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, at a location to be determined. Those interested in attending are asked to call 664-2351 at ext. 102 to provide contact information.

The Chautauqua County Soil and Water Conservation District’s secretary will follow up to provide the meeting location as soon as it is determined. The public is invited to attend.
