CVCS Board Workshop Set For Wednesday

SINCLAIRVILLE — There will be a special workshop meeting of the Cassadaga Valley Central School District Board of Education on Wednesday starting at 7 p.m. in the Middle/Senior High School Multi-Purpose Room. The purpose of this meeting is for the Board to discuss board goals for the 2020-2021 school year. Social distancing will be enforced.

Mobile Pantry Truck Will Be In Ashville Today

ASHVILLE — The Food Bank of Western New York Mobile Pantry Truck from Falconer will be at the Ashville United Methodist Church today. Open hours are 10 a.m. to noon and 3-5 p.m. The truck brings fresh produce and some staple items. To receive free food, only proof of address from the following ZIP codes is required: Ashville 14710, Bemus Point 14712, Celoron 14720, Lakewood 14750, Niobe 14758, Panama 14767, Stow 14785 and anyone who lives in the town of Busti. Please wear your face mask and keep 6 feet distance while in line. The food will be pre-boxed like last month. A volunteer will sign you in and take your box to your car. Pre-Licensing Course Offered

FREWSBURG — A five-hour pre-licensing driving course will be offered via Zoom through Frewsburg High School on Monday, Nov. 9, from 5-10 p.m. The cost is $25. Pre-register by emailing rhair@frewsburgcsd.org or calling 569-7026 between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. When calling, please make sure to have a permit on hand.

Planning Board Cancels Meeting In Portland

PORTLAND — The Portland Planning Board meeting that was originally scheduled for today has been canceled.

Aux. To Hold Roast Beef Dinner Sunday

CHERRY CREEK — A roast beef dinner will be held Sunday, Nov. 1 from noon until sold out. This will be a take-out event only. Cost is $11 and will take place at the Pine Valley Memorial VFW Auxillary, Post 2522, which is located at 7117 Route 83, Cherry Creek. Presale tickets may be made by calling 716-296-5418. Along with roast beef, the meal includes mashed potatoes, dinner roll, vegetable and a dessert.

Programming Set For Access Chautauqua

Chautauqua Sunrise, hosted by Doc Hamels, will have Ryan Calalesina discussing solar energy. The program is aired and streamed on Facebook live at 9 a.m. and then repeats at 2 and 8 p.m. Repeat programming is typically re-aired throughout the week at other various time slots. All programming starts on Saturday, Oct. 31, with the final airing on Friday, Nov. 6. Access Chautauqua, formerly Access Channel 5, is available to cable viewers in the Chautauqua, Mayville, North Harmony, Portland, Ripley, Sherman, and Westfield areas, and can be found on cable channel 1301. The programs may also be viewed after the initial airing at the station’s website at accesschautauquacountytv.org.
