JCC Trustees To Meet Tuesday

The Jamestown Community College Board of Trustees will meet at 3 p.m. Tuesday via Zoom.

Hall House To Hold DNA Series

The Hall House will sponsor a three-part series on DNA starting Oct. 24. To register, contact the Fenton History Center at 664-6256. Non-members cost $20 a session or $50 for all three. Members cost $10 per session or $25 for all three. These will be in-person and Zoom sessions. Those who select the Zoom format will receive the link by email the day before the program. Sessions are: DNA Part:1 Introduction, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24; DNA Part 2: Using DNA results in Genealogical Research, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7; and DNA Part 3: Chromosome Mapping and DNA Charting, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21.

Food Pantry Open Tuesday

KENNEDY — The Food Pantry at the Kennedy United Methodist Church, 3594 Church St., Kennedy, will be open on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. The pantry is open to anyone residing in the Falconer School District. Those attending are asked to enter from the lower door and observe social distancing rules. Masks are required.

Trunk-Or-Treat To Be Held

Girl Scouts of Western New York will host a free drive-through trunk-or-treat at the Prendergast Library at 4:15 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24. Reservations are required at bit.ly/gswnytrunkortreat and all those who register and attend will be entered to win a gift basket.

Auxiliary To Hold Meeting Tuesday

The Busti Fire Department Ladies Auxliary will be holding its regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Members will be meeting under CDC guidelines. New members are always welcome.

Library To Hold Fundraiser

The Fluvanna Free Library will host a drive through spaghetti dinner fundraiser featuring spaghetti by Joe Conti on Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Fluvanna Fire Hall, located at 3536 Fluvanna Ave. Dinners can be picked up from 4:30-7 p.m. The cost is $10 and includes salad, spaghetti and meatballs and bread and butter. Tickets are available the day of the dinner, or in advance from any Fluvanna Free Library board member or in the library during current business hours. Lions Club Holds Corn Roast

FREWSBURG — Members of the Frewsburg Lions Club held its annual corn roast Sept. 14 at the Carroll Town Park. The highlight of the evening was the installation of officers postponed from the canceled June club meeting. The following Lions were installed: Randy Wiltsie, president; Gary Nelson, first vice-president; Jill Wiltsie, second vice-president; Martha Dove, third vice-president; Gary Wells, secretary; Don Dove, service chair and tail-twister; Phil Roushey, marketing and communications; Jerry Eklund, director and Lion tamer; and Marty Hunt, director.
