Kiantone Aux. Meets Wed.

The Kiantone Independent Fire Department Auxiliary will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The group will be discussing the upcoming Election Day dinner for takeouts. New members are welcome to join.

Parks And Rec. Meeting Moved

Today’s meeting of the Jamestown Parks, Recreation and Conservation Commission has been canceled. The commission next plans to meet Nov. 3.

Take Five Winner Sold In Dunkirk

The New York Lottery announced Morning morning a Take Five top-prize ticket was sold in Dunkirk. The winning ticket — worth $27,646 in Sunday’s drawing — was sold at Matt’s News at 93 E. Third St. in Dunkirk. Another winning ticket, worth the same amount, was sold in the Bronx. Take 5 numbers are drawn from a field of one through 39. Drawings take place every evening at 11:21 p.m. Winning tickets at all prize levels may be cashed up to one year from the date of the drawing.

Planning Board In Cassadaga Meets Tonight

CASSADAGA — The village Planning Board is having a meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday and Oct. 13 in the Community Room.

Marvin House Take-Out Meals Provided Thurs.

The Marvin House in Jamestown will provide take-out meals Thursday. The meals, which cost $17 for members and $20 for non-members, will include tossed salad, creamy Parmesan chicken, rice pilaf, seasonal vegetables and cookie. Glade Fire Dept. Hosts Fall Fest

The Glade Volunteer Fire Department is hosting a fall festival and flea market on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the station, 885 Hatch Run Road. Vendor spaces can still be reserved by contacting Deb at 688-7272, or information can be found on Glade V.F.D.’s facebook page. A Chinese auction is planned and members will be selling 50/50 tickets. This year there will also be family activities including hayrides ($2 for adults, $1 for children under 12), children’s crafts and games, a visit by Smokey Bear, and a 1 p.m. performance by the Misfits, a local bluegrass band. Food, including local hot sausage sandwiches with peppers and onions, hot dogs with all the toppings, chips, and drinks, can be purchased for a nominal fee. There will be no charge for parking or admission.

Marco Polo Club Dinner Saturday

The Marco Polo Club will be holding a take-out spaghetti dinner from 4 to 6 Saturday. Patrons are recommended to call 665-3309 in advance to order. All customers are asked to enter the parking lot for pickup via the Dexter Street entrance and proceed to the doors on the side of the club. Patrons must remain in their vehicles, and masks must be worn when picking up order. Dinners are $10 for adults, and $5 for children.
