PS Board
Meets Tonight
The Jamestown Public Schools Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the board room of the Administration Building, 197 Martin Road, Jamestown. Due to New York state guidelines of gatherings not to exceed 50 people, those who want to attend the meeting must email jaunita.m.walter@jpsny.org or call 483-4420 to reserve a space before 10 a.m. Tuesday. A COVID-19 screening form will have to be completed and masks will have to be worn until seated.
Busti Fire Dept. Auxiliary To Meet
BUSTI — The Busti Fire Department Auxiliary will hold its regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The group will discus the county auxiliary meeting. COVID-19 guidelines will be followed. New members are welcome.
Library Board To Meet Thursday
The James Prendergast Library Board of Directors will meet at 5:15 p.m. Thursday. Due to the continuing ban on public gatherings, the library’s board meeting will be held online. To access the online board meeting, email reference@prendergastlibrary.org.
Red Cross Blood Drive Thursday
The American Red Cross will host blood drive hours from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, and Thursday, Sept. 24, at the Jamestown chapter building, 325 E. Fourth St., Jamestown. To donate, download the American Red Cross Blood Donor App, visit RedCrossBlood.org, call 800-733-2767 or enable the Blood Donor Skill on any Alexa Echo device to make an appointment or for more information. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age or 16 with parental consent, where allowed by state law, weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.

Sheridan Fire Dept. Ladies Aux. Meets Sept. 21
SHERIDAN — The Sheridan Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at the fire hall. Members are encouraged to attend and observe the New York state COVID-19 guidelines.
