Love March Set Sunday In City

A Love March will be held from 3-5 p.m. Sunday in the city of Jamestown. The march will start and end at Baker Park and will include voices of the community with performances and speeches from local artists, community leaders and members of the Jamestown City Council.

Ivory Cemetery Meeting To Be Held Sept. 12

FREWSBURG — The annual meeting of friends and lot owners of the Ivory Cemetery will be held at the Ivory Baptist Church at 633 Ivory Road outside of Frewsburg at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12. The future direction of the group will be discussed at the meeting. All those interested in the care and operations of the Ivory Cemetery are urged to attend. Refreshments will be served.

Auxiliary To Meet Wednesday

The John W. Tiffany Post 53 VFW Auxiliary will hold its next meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 9, at the ILS Veterans Club, 364 Fluvanna Ave. This will be the group’s first meeting since March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Members are asked to wear a face mask and bring your their own paper and pen to take any notes. Social distancing will be observed and hand sanitizer will be available.

Library Board Of Trustees To Meet

LAKEWOOD — The Lakewood Memorial Library board of trustees will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 10. The meeting will take place at the library at 12 W. Summit, Lakewood.
