Marvin House To Provide Take-Out Meals Thursday

The Marvin House will provide take-out meals Thursday. This week will be a Swedish dinner with cucumber salad, Marlene’s Swedish Koldomar, rotmos, homemade Swedish limpa bread and rice pudding. The cost is $17 for members and $20 for non-members. For a pick up reservation, call 488-6206. Dinners will be pre-packaged and ready for pick up between 3-4 p.m. Volunteers will put the meals directly into the vehicle’s trunk.

County IDA Meeting To Be Held Aug. 25

The Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency will meet Tuesday, Aug. 25, at 10 a.m. The meeting will be streamed lived on Youtube due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Members of the public may view the board meeting by visiting Youtube and searching “County of Chautauqua IDA.” A meeting of the Chautauqua Region Economic Development Corporation will be held after the IDA meeting.

All meetings of the Ellery Senior Citizens have been canceled until 2021.

Pomfret Town Offices Are Open To The Public

The Pomfret Town offices are now open to the public during normal business hours, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mailing via USPS or utilizing the mail slow at the bottom left of the Town Hall door for dog license renewals, water/sewer payments and building permits is still highly encouraged to minimize traffic within the Town Hall. Soil And Water Conservation Board To Meet

The Chautauqua County Soil and Water Conservation District board will meet at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, at 3542 Turner Road, Jamestown. The public is invited to attend.

Fredonia Food Pantry Open On Saturday

On Saturday, Aug. 15, The Fredonia Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. until noon at Fredonia Presbyterian Church at 219 Central Ave. The pantry serves the needs of residents of Fredonia, area code 14063, Pomfret, Sheridan, and Laona. All guests receive one or more bags of non-perishable food. Number of bags given out depends on family size.

County Health Board Set To Meet Aug. 20

The Chautauqua County Board of Health will meet at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 20. The meeting can be viewed at facebook.com/myhealthycounty/. Due to the COVID-19 crisis, the public may participate in privilege of the floor by emailing a statement prior to the meeting to raters@co.chautauqua.ny.us. Emailed statements shall be read during the Privilege of the Floor.
