Book Signing At Local Bakery

Author Kim Rambacher will hold a book signing event Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Killa, Kookies & Kream Bakery, 3423 Fluvanna Ave., Jamestown. A portions of the proceeds will go toward breast cancer awareness, Miracle Marcia Scholarship Fund, Hospice of Chautauqua County and the Pastor Clyde Mohl Retirement Fund.

Memorial Service In Frewsburg

FREWSBURG — Pastor Carol Becker will lead a dedication/memorial service for former Pastor Christopher Rhodes this Sunday at the Fentonville United Methodist Church, 109 Old Fentonville Road, Frewsburg. The dedication will follow the 11 a.m. morning worship service. Pastor Rhodes faithfully lived his life to the fullest while serving the church and community for over 15 years. The public is invited to attend.

BPU Conducts Steam Blow

The Jamestown Board of Public Utilities said power plant employees have been conducting a “steam blow” on one of its main steam lines. The BPU said the steam blow is “very noisy but safe for the public.”

SWCS Board Meets Tuesday

Food Pantry Open On Aug. 15

On Saturday, Aug. 15, The Fredonia Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. until noon at Fredonia Presbyterian Church at 219 Central Ave. The pantry serves the needs of residents of Fredonia, area code 14063, Pomfret, Sheridan, and Laona. All guests receive one or more bags of non-perishable food. Number of bags given out depends on family size.
